We are struggling with an existing installation which has suddenly stopped its KERIO webmail interface - we assume it broke when the client has updated KERIO Connect to the latest version 8.5.3
Basically we can no longer start the HTTP (8800) & HTTPS (8843) services, despite apache being stopped and removed as per the KB article.
We spoke with KERIO support and they pointed out that there is till something else running on the above ports, as per the listen cmd below:
fileserver:~ sadmin$ sudo lsof -i -P | grep -i "listen"
httpd 585 _www 5u IPv6 0x2a4cfc635ee67523 0t0 TCP *:80 (LISTEN)
httpd 585 _www 7u IPv6 0x2a4cfc6363eae623 0t0 TCP *:443 (LISTEN)
httpd 585 _www 9u IPv6 0x2a4cfc6363eae123 0t0 TCP *:8008 (LISTEN)
httpd 585 _www 11u IPv6 0x2a4cfc6363eadc23 0t0 TCP *:8800 (LISTEN)
httpd 585 _www 13u IPv6 0x2a4cfc6363ead723 0t0 TCP *:8443 (LISTEN)
httpd 585 _www 15u IPv6 0x2a4cfc6363ead223 0t0 TCP *:8843 (LISTEN)
fileserver:~ sadmin$ sudo serveradmin fullstatus web
web:health = _empty_dictionary
web:readWriteSettingsVersion = 1
web:apacheVersion = "2.2"
web:servicePortsRestrictionInfo = _empty_array
web:startedTime = "2015-11-02 22:35:55 +0000"
web:apacheState = "STOPPED"
web:statusMessage = ""
web:ApacheMode = 2
web:servicePortsAreRestricted = "NO"
web:state = "STOPPED"
web:setStateVersion = 1
KERIO support then advised that this is not a KERIO problem as there is something else running...
Unfortunately we have not been able to identify what this might be as there is really nothing else is running on this server - also peculiar as it had been running fine until 2 days ago.
We have already reinstalled the latest KERIO Connect version over the top of the already updated install, but also to no avail.
Maybe someone else has some experience / insights they can share with us on this?
