Hi,

it is possible to configure a email address to be used only for internal users?
Means that the email address could not be used externally.
I need such feature for some of our group emails.

I'm running Kerio Connect 9.0.0.

Best regards
Christoph

@Timmi -- the best way to do this is to create a mail list, and disable public posting to it. You can also create a user group, and set the "send/receive mail only from my domain" option, but that applies to all the users' individual accounts as well, so it would prevent ALL external mail from coming to the users inbox, whether it was originally sent ot the group ore to the user's address.

Hi Bud,

I'm sorry but the mailing list is not an option as the posting and destribution list could not be different.

I know about the second option but the fact that the "send/receive mail only from my domain" applies also to the added users is a no go!!

Maybe Kerio is able to fix that in future!!!

Best regards
Christoph

To be clear, there are a few options for posting to a mailing list: Moderators only, members and moderators, and public. Moderators do not have to be a member of the list.

If that doesn't work for you, there's another option that works but is more difficult. You could create a public distribution group in the global address book. This only works if your users are using OutLook, the Kerio Client, or some other client that can access the public address book. These groups don't have their own address. Rather, when the group is chosen at the client, when the mail is sent it expands to the e-mail addresses of the recipients.

As far as the behavior of the user groups, I see them primarily as a security principal, so Kerio need not make any changes for me. If it becomes a problem, I'll stop the address at my spam filter, or using the new server-side filters
