Hello,

we do have serval Problems with OSX 10.11.2 Outlook 2016 (15.17.1).
Outlook was configured with the Kerio Connect install Tool.
Kerio Connect is on the latest release 9.0.1

Sync Problems:
Our Users are reporting sync delay. Sometimes over 2 houres and suddenly all mails from the last 2 houres come all at once.

Problems Sending Mail when "Reply to"
Users get random a "Message could not be saved" dialog box and cant send the mail, restarting Outllook helps.
Don't know if that problem is related to Kerio or outlook.

Our Apple Mail users (10.11.2) don't have any Problems at all.

Does anyone have the same Problems wit El Capitan and Outlook 2016 with Kerio Connect?

How to fix this ?

Hello,

Sync delay: is there any firewall or proxy involved? Notifications in Outlook 2016 are implemented using long http request waiting on the server, that can be killed by some firewall. If so, lower the value StreamingEventsTimeout (number of seconds) in mailserver.cfg

Sending mail: search Connect and Outlook logs for CreateItem request if there is some problem.

Hello Pavel,

No, there is no Firewall or Proxy involved.

The Kerio Connect Server is on the LAN.

Any other ideas ?

Enable Outlook and Connect logging as described here:

http://kb.kerio.com/article.php?id=1053

Check the logs, you can try to search for GetStreamingEvents request (this request is used by Outlook to detect changes on the server).

Hello,

we got similar problems at our customers installation.
We moved KC 8.5.3 from a xServer with 0sX 10.6.8 to a KC 9.02 on a Mac mini with OSX 10.11.3 (we used kmsrecover for the new installation). Clients are using Office 2011 (V14.6.1 latest release) and Office 2016 (V15.19.1)
In the night Wink of the installation everything was working fine and no delay in sending or receiving (internal and external) was detected. On the next day the users (13clients) came to work most of them had no connection to the mailserver, and the mailserver had a CPU activity from more than 90%
Sometimes the connection was established after a restart of the mac or from Outlook. During the day when the client was connected to the mailserver they received mails from the day before (sent 7pm) on the next day 10am

Webmail connection was working most, but really really slow

On the old installation (xServe and keri 8.5.3) we had never such behavior.

I appreciate any ideas to help us out.

kind regards
Bernd

We Still have these Problems.

Our Outlook 2016 Mac Users are restarting Outlook frequently to get the Mails.

Ok, matches sys requirements. where is your backup dir? do you store on internal hard disks? I changed backup storage from ext USB3 device to thunderbolt today and till now no problems or disconnections occur,.. hope that keeps running like this!

i don't think that backup storage is the problem as backups runs at night

We have these problems during the day and only with outlook for mac... apple mail clients work fine.

So how is your account server connection setup? only the IP address of the server as it is configured using the integration assistant or with serverip/EWS/Exchange.asmx? does the problem only exists with office 2016? did you update to latest release 15.19.1?

The account was setup by the Kerio assistant, we also tried just to setup as Exchange Server... both variants have the same problem.

Yes, only Office 2016 for mac... The old office 2011 for mac and Apple Mail did work always without any problems.

Yes, we are on the latest Office 2016 for Mac release (Outlook 15.19.1)

The problems you describe can be caused by some network problem or by overloaded server. Please gather the logs as described above and raise the ticket.

With the new Office Update Outlook 15.21.1 it is getting worse.

Outlook 2016 Users now have manually have to Push the Button "Send/Recive" to "Update the Inbox" Mails or Restart Outlook to get the new Mails from the Server.

An No! The Server is not overloaded ... No High CPU, No Full RAM Used... 25 Users on a Server with 2 Xeon CPU's an 12 GB RAM is enough i think.

Network Problem, i don't really think so... and even if... Mail Server should even work on bad latency or bandwidth. But as i said, there is no Network Problem, in this case the Mailserver then would be our smallest Problem.
