The system requirements for Kerio MailServer 6 (Mac OS) tell me that the software needs a PowerPC G4 processor to run.

Does anyone have experience with a G3 processor? Good or bad?

FYI: our current installation of Kerio MailServer (5.7.10) is running just fine on a 500 MHz G3 with 1 GB RAM. I would even say it's fast!

Regards, Alfred.

Yes, it will work on a G3 processor! Furthermore it will work on a 300 mhz machine, too :-)

Thank you for your report! Would you say it runs 'fast enough' on a 300 MHz machine?

The attribute "fast enough" depends on your individual needs, but it is fast enough to feed up dozens of hungry mailboxes simultaneously as long as nobody uses the webmail feature. Webmail is a little bit slow and it slows down the whole (G3) system...
