Hi, We are running Kerio Connect 8.4.0 and have a few domains with user accounts, one of the domain will be decommission sometime this year. We would like to all users to the new domain but we will still need the old one active during the transition, new incoming mail from the old account will be forwarded to the new domain.
What is the best way to move users to a new domain?

Why not just rename the domain?

In either scenario, you'll want an empty old_domain.com with a setting on the "Forwarding" tab of the domain that specifies, "If the recipient was not found in this domain, forward the message to another host" (new_domain.com).

@ksnyder, If rename the domain, what else need to be done? I have about 80 users on this old domain.

btw, the old domain is our primary domain, does it matter?

Rename the domaim and put old domain name as alias to the new domain.

That sounds good but our external MX/DNS records have the original domain name, do these need to be change as well?

Yes, you will need to add the new domain in your DNS service, including MX record(s) pointing to your Kerio Connect.

Keep the original domain definition there too.

For all those POP/SMTP and Kerio Offline connector clients, these settings must be changed as well, am i correct?
