Hi,

Is anyone using an iPad as a primary desktop phone with a docking station such as this:

http://www.amazon.com/SEDNA-eyeDock-Video-Phone-Speaker/dp/B 00WILDUC4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1453300149&sr=8-1&a mp;keywords=eyeDock

iPad would have Operator app installed and use WiFi for calls.

I am considering this for some home-office users, but wondering if others have positive/negative experiences.

Thanks,

ft.

I recommend the Grandstream GXV3275 as a more cost effective option. It has a large touchscreen display but it is designed to work specifically as a phone.

Thanks... cost is not the biggest issue here, and we use entirely Mac OS/iOS for desktop and mobil.

Plus there is no FileMaker Go available for Android.

Hopefully Apple can make a desktop phone at some point.

The advantage of using the Operator Softphone app is the provisioning over a secure channel.

If anyone plans to use a standard desktop phone in a remote location, we recommend to auto-provision over a VPN, or to configure it manually instead.
