I'm trying the Control trial on a machine but getting stuck at the console setup for the internet interface.

Our ISP issues a 24 character long PPPoE username (xxxXXXXXX@xxx.xxx.tld.dd), but Control only lets me type a username as wide as the 13 character input box (xxxXXXXXX<_at_>xxx).

Any way around this?

I can't get past the license activation prompt because I can't connect to the internet to validate.

Control appliance can be activated in Trial mode without internet connectivity "Activate in unregistered mode" and Trial license can be obtained and installed later.

Alternatively, you can edit configuration file manually:

switch to second console - ALT+F2
login as root

# /etc/boxinit.d/60winroute stop
# vim /opt/kerio/winroute/winroute.cfg - edit the PPPoE username
# /etc/boxinit.d/60winroute start

Thanks Petr

I can't see the way to activate in unregistered mode without an Internet connection, but I will try editing the config file.

Is there a root password by default?
