Dear Guys,
When the SMTP scanning is active, mail attachment downloading progress in outlook freezes until scanning finishes by Kerio Control and then the download completes in 1 second, but during that time, users assume that there is a connection problem and calls help-desk.
I know there is a feature called (Comfort Client) in some UTMs, which allow traffic to pass to the client while the scan engine is scanning object, and ONLY keep the last bit to complete evaluation. If the object is harmful the last bit will not send to client and if it was safe the last bit will be sent as well. This is helpful for users to see the normal download progress and do not face a freeze progress, thinking of a connection problem.
Anybody have idea?

You said it freezes during mail attachment downloading in outlook. That does not use SMTP, SMTP is for sending emails.
What email account in configured on outlook ? IMAP/POP3 ?

This can also be caused by local antivirus on desktop.

Kerio Control scans only POP3 and incoming SMTP - http://kb.kerio.com/1386

Yes Petr, the problem was related to endpoint antivirus software.
Thanks for your help.
