I've upgraded recently to Kerio 9.0.2 (from 8.5.3) and when I look into the backup folder, I don't see a lot of incremental backups. Is something wrong in my setup, or is there something going wrong with Kerio?

I have a diff schedule for saterday-monday and a full backup on sunday. I keep 3 full backups and split files larger than 2 Gb. This has been the case for years now. But this is how my backup dir looks like.

Why are there only 2 differential backups? I would expect that between each full backup, I would have a differential file per day. If this is a config error on my side, how can I achieve this?

Regards,

Leon

I think this is wrong expectation. Backup is intended for disaster recovery and thus it keeps only recent "snapshot" of the message store. New differential backup replaces old one from previous day as it is no longer needed.

Ok, so what I try to achieve is to have the possibility to do a point in time recovery for the most recent two weeks. It's ok that this is not to a specific time/date, but just a date. Do I need to make 14 full backups? If I make a weekly full backup, and keep the most recent 3. I would like to maintain the differential backups in between as well. Emails received on day x and deleted the next day have a very low possibility to get recovered otherwise. I use backups not only for disaster recovery, but also for end-user mistakes.
