Everybody of our company has it's own mailbox storage and access to unnamed mail folder (i.e. sales<_at_>..)

We tried to grant access right for everybody like this
- open shared mail folder using Kerio Connect Client
- right clicking on the top of the tree -> release
- grant access right for everybody from company as "owner" (using "editor" no one can see folders!?)
- including sub folders

Sometimes it perhaps that users can not see/access some sub folders. When i lo gin via browser and check the access rights i can see wrong information. I.e. User x is owner and no one has access right.

In MS Exchange the admin can set access rights to those shared mail folder -including sub folders using heredity- for the whole company without any restrictions.

Is it possible to administer the access rights directly on the server?

Oh, Edit!

I misread! You are already using public folders, I had that wrong.

In this case:

Delete/Change the old public folder and/or the access to it.

Create a new Public Folder, best with a new name as root. Then create the subfolders you need. Add the Groups that need access to the root (only work with groups, userspecific only if really needed) as editors (with the option for all subfolders).

If possible, don't grant owner permission to anyone that works everyday with the folder or at least the main folder. I had this issue at first with desync folders, because some accidentally moved folders and put them back, which deleted/changed the permissions and/or the sync. After I restricted the full access to the "archive" (used once a month) and left the rest with editor it worked great.

It takes time for all outlook/clients to receive the updated folders - be patient.
