Hi, I have Kerio Connect and a Wordpress site running on the same server. I'm trying to use the SMTP settings to relay the mail from Wordpress through Kerio.

I've setup the Kerio SMTP setting "Users from IP Address Group" to "Local clients" and just put the server IP address of the server in. Under "SMTP Delivery" I have the server name and I've tried port 25 and 465 and I've tried with and without authentication.

On the Wordpress side I have a plugin call WP-email-SMTP. I use the corresponding values I use in Kerio.

But I always get and error saying authentication failed.

Anyone ever done this and got it to work?

Thanks.

Pat.

I have a similer setup, but I am not using a Wordpress plugin, but the native PHP mailing function in Wordpress. I am not using authentication, but just SMTP over port 25. That works well.

I would just put the IP of the Wordpress server in the IP white list, then you don't need authentication.

Hi, thanks for answering. So are you saying you just use Wordpress as it is, no changes and also on the Kerio side use it in the default settings and it works? I thought I tried that and it didn't work but I'll check it out again.

Thanks.

I am on Windows, so I don't know about the Apple environment, but I just had to put the mail host and port in the php.ini file and then it worked for me.
