Hi,

I want to know if there is a way to check sip trunk register status periodically.
For example, every 5 mins to check if the sip trunk status still connect to the voip provider, if it's fail, then send me a message or email.

Any idea?

Thanks

Hi jackl,

In the Call Routing menu, you can specify to "Send keep-alive requests every 20 seconds". To my knowledge, this is the closest thing we have to this feature. As a side note, if Operator cannot reach the SIP provider, there's a good chance that it might be unable to send you an alert either.

As an alternative, you may want to look into the existence of this feature with your SIP provider. Some providers offer the ability to enable alerting features from their administrative consoles (Nexvortex, Vitelity, siptrunk.com, etc.). The SIP provider may be able to detect if the Operator system becomes unregistered for some reason and subsequently send you an alert via SMS or email.

If a feature like this in Operator is truly required, I would invite you to submit a feature request (http://kb.kerio.com/1643)

Cheers,
Ken

Hi,

Operator already comes with such feature. There is a checkbox called "Send email alert on failure" in the Edit External Interface dialog. If enabled Operator will send you an email whenever a registration with the provider fails.

Best,
Filip
