Hi,

I am running 2 Kerio Connect appliances on 2 different networks connecting to the internet through 2 different ISPs. Both appliances are sitting next to each other in the same room. Currently I am connection both appliance through a permanent VPN tunnel which works fine without any issues.
However, in my quest to eliminate potential failure points I would like to be able to connect those 2 devices directly through a network cable. Could this be done using spare ethernet ports on the appliances? Could firewall rules be applied to limit access? Ideally, only the network A needs to be able to connect to network B.

Of course that is possible. You just create a internal network between those two firewalls and apply rules on those. In fact a site to site VPN as a virtual cable between two or more firewalls. So what you want isn't different than a site to site VPN.
