Hi all,

how could I configure differnt attachment filter rules for send and receive e-mails.

I have to forward all received e-mails with potentional dangerous attachments (docm, zip etc.) to a special internal account.

This works well by attachment filter rules.

But if I want to send a e-Mail with proofed attachments (docm, zip etc.)by myself, they will be forwarded to the special internal account, too.

How could I solve this problem? I have to send e-mails with such attachments.

Kind regards

The only workaround I have found for this is to add a rule at the top to allow certain named files.
So you first rule could be to allow files named say Kerio.zip or Kerio.* anything that didn't match would be removed in the normal way.
It's not a great solution but it does work, you just have to keep an eye on who knows the magic file name that will be ignored by the filtering.

We let our firewall do this now, along with AV and spam detection as it gives us more control.
