I have 55/10 Mbit/s VDSL here. When connecting computer straight to router i can have stable 50/10 results with different bandwidth test. Through NG100 the result is always around 30/10 . So nearly half of my incoming bandwidth is cutted away when running through NG100.

IPS and basic rules and NAT are in use. Is there some basic things what could help with the speed?

I could give away outgoing filtering features to gain more speed. I also already tried disabling IPS etc for testing - no help.

When checking NG100's specs, that linerate should not be problem for the device - for some reason it just slows the traffic down.

Any ideas?

Did you reboot the system after disabling IPS? The IPS feature is responsible for most of the overhead. We are evaluating ways to optimize performance without disabling UTM functionality.

No i just used "apply" to activate settings - did not know that the reboot was necessary.

I have to install firewall again tomorrow to my network, took it away today and using now the VDSL router only while doing performance tests. Network feels a lot faster this way, but i have to test that reboot after IPS disable with firewall.

As far as i know, NG100 should handle 50/10 linerates even with IPS and NAT enabled. That's why i have been wondering why network has been so slow.
