Hello

After Updating Kerio Connect to 9.1.1, I have huge CPU use on the Server:

Linux Ubuntu 12.02 LTS
Xeon E5504 <_at_> 2.00GHz, 4 cores
48 GB Memory
65 Users

Before the Update, I had about 5-10 % CPU. Now, I have even 50 - 75, sometimes more CPU use.

Any ideas?

This is worrisome for me as I planned to update our 2 KC servers this evening to 9.1.1
Has the CPU usage mellowed out?

I know this isn't too helpful, but I'm not seeing any spike in CPU in our system. We're running KC 9.1.1 on a Windows 2008 R2 VM (Hyper-V). The upgrade installed without any troubles and has worked fine. I have run into odd problems in the past but this time everything went well for me.

Hijacker, did you reboot the server? I would guess that you did, but it's worth a try.

After upgrading to 9.1.1 my error logs are flooded with XMPP error:
StdErrChannel.cpp: XMPP Server [external]: [240] Ping error occured with watcher com.kerio.im.tigase.bridge.IM.IMSynchronizationWatcher@6998c4c0

CPU usage is normal though.

Any advice Kerio?

Regarding high cpu usage, we are not seeing this here on a Mac server running 10.11. 140 active users at the moment and 1% cpu.

9.11 update running perfectly on 2 Mac Servers with around 150 users each. CPU usage runs between 1 and 4%.

I just did a migration/upgrade from 8.x on 32bit to 9.2.3 on 64bit ubuntu on the same VM host and I'm also seeing high CPU, and seems to be getting worse. logs are normal, traffic is normal, performance is frequently very poor in the web client when the server CPU is high.

how can I tell what's going on?

CPU graph attached. this can't be normal for 50 users.

Im fairly certain the kerio database is being upgraded based on your upgrade path, causing high cpu. Timing is related to the store size.

derp, there's a full backup running that I thought had finished.

even before that I do see far more high CPU peaks than before.

so everything's settled now, and while it's better than when I posted it's still way higher than it used to be. I'm frequently getting CPU use warnings in vcenter all day long, and with 20 hours of uptime the mailserver process is showing 62 hours of active time. I have 4GB ram and 4 cores assigned for only 50 users, most using KOFF connector.

I would contact Kerio support and open a ticket. They can hopefully eliminate the possibility of a damaged mail store.

Got this problem too (running on Dell R720 with 2 x Intel Xeon CPU E5-2650 v2, 64 GB RAM, about 500 users), CPU-usage is rising until all CPUs/cores are at max, when it hits max usage the service has huge delays or freezes completely. Are there any solutions yet?

Thanks in advance

Try to disable XMPP. Java is making a lot of load. I think Kerio should do some bug-fix.
