Hi all,
why in kerio connect can't I set a rule that reject a mail with a, for example, zip file attached or redirect it to a specific mail address?

Our policy is to reject mail with compressed files but kerio control can only block attached file and sends these useless email to the recipient.

We get about 100 emails a day like this and it's really annoying.

Can I do somethings?

Thank you (and sorry my bad English)

This is possible:

Go to "Attachment Filter"

Then add a new entry in the list: *.zip

On the top, tick "Forward original message to" and fill in the email address you want it to redirect to.

That's it.

Hi,
thank you. I thought that this option did a simply forward of the message, not the redirect.
I'll test immediately.
Thank you again

Hi again,
Unfortunately, this method has no effect Sad
The mail is forwarded, not redirected to the mail address I wrote; it's still received by the original recipient.
I attach a screen shot of my settings (it's in Italian so "blocca"->"block" Smile )

This is because you have ticked "Elimina gli archivi ZIP...."

It does not make sense to block zip file and at the same time check the content of the zip file.

So you must un-tick "Elimina gli archivi ZIP...."

GREAT! Thank you, now, finally, I understand. That rule (erase zip file that contains malicious files) is executed before the next one.
Thank you again Smile
