is it safe to delete backups from the server as and when they are generated?

We run backups on the following schedule:

Full Backup - Saturday 0100
Differential Backup
Saturday 0700 - 1300 - 1900
Sunday 0100 - 1700 - 1300 - 1900
Monday etc etc

We basically run a differential backup every six hours after the full backup

The server in question has a 500GB of space and data store that is 257GB so once the full backup has run we tend to run low on space as the full backup is about 173GB when compressed by Kerio.

What I've been doing (until I can get more space in the server) is to move the backups to a different server on a daily basis.

However I am now wondering if it has any impact on the backup if the previous differential backups that have been created since the full backup are not present when the backup runs

I hope this makes sense and would appreciate some help.

I do understand this is not a best practice solution by any stretch and it's only temporary until I get my server upgrades in place
