Hi,

Just testing out the new desktop client. Things look promising but I've hit a snag and wondered if anyone else is having this issue?

OS: Win 7 Pro x64
Browser: Firefox 48.0.2
Client 9.2.0 (4220)

The issue is clicking mailto: links in Firefox or IE it produces an error saying "Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed." Clicking OK results in an infinite number of IE windows opening until right-clicking the IE icon in the taskbar and selecting "Close all windows".

The first time I opened Kerio Desktop Client I was prompted to set it as default which I did.

Any ideas? I'd really like to deploy the client at some point as it would solve some of the "gripes" our users have had, one of which is the mailto: links not working with the web client.

Cheers.

-Iain.

try this:

go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\mailto
create string "URL Protocol" leave value empty

this ist not directly a problem with the kerio client, it happens with other mail clients too

Thanks, that seems to have worked.

Oddly, the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\mailto didn't exist at all on my test system so I just created it and then the String entry you mentioned. I didn't expect it to work initially as I see from your screenshot that that there are other entries I thought may be required but apparently not.

Cheers Smile
