Since upgrade to Sierra and to Kerio Connect 9.2, when using Exchange Connection, MacOS Mail crashes at startup.
It seems related to Calendar Invitations... Reception and/or confirmation.

When switching the account to IMAP, Mail cranes no more...

An idea of solution ?

We've reported this bug to Apple. And trying to figure out whether there is any kind of workaround we can do on server side.

As Pavel already mentioned:
We are investigating if we can solve it from the server side and/or Apple is providing an update for fixing this bug in their Exchange implementation.

Meanwhile the only solution I can think of is switching to IMAP

To clarify, are you are talking Sierra on server?

Hello,

No, the server is on El Capitan.
My sensation is that this bug is more Connect 9.2-related than Sierra-related, as we see in this thread somebody talking about the same problem with El Capitan's Mail ...

It is related to Apple Mail in macOS Sierra:

Hi,
i think its not a Sierra problem. We have this problem on 10.11 El Captan.

Kerio 9.2 Server on Linux CENTOS - Clients Apple Mail 10.11 - EWS
& 5 Sierra Clients.
Crash.

Kerio 9.2 Server on 10.11 El Capitan - 10.11 Clients - EWS
Crash.

Before with Version 9.1.1, this not happened.

Ive contacted the Kerio Support. I got the answer to use IMAP instead of Exchange. That is not a option. In the meantime, the user has to use webmail.

Thanks,
Florian

This issue is now causing issues for us in both 10.11 and 10.12. Multiple clients and servers are now having Mail.app crash.

This does not seem like an Apple issue as it only is impacting Kerio.

We really need to get an urgent fix for this.

2 or 3 Weeks!?!?!?!? Shocked Shocked Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad we've got 200 people with crashing email clients because of this issue.

Thanks, we wont be renewing this year and I'll be moving to Office 365 starting on Monday.

This is a issue that requires an emergency hotfix, not waiting a month.

So first the good news: the upgrade will be released probably next week.
I understand you problem, but these complains should be directed primarily to the Apple. Whatever we send to the client, shouldn't ever cause the crash. The more so we send the valid response. And each upgrade or change in the server can harm other types of clients, so we need some time to test at least the relevant ones.
