A user working from home has an extension which was added to the 'Page All' group.

When a page is made her phone's display lights up, but there is no audio.

She is behind NAT, and some changes to RTP on the phone's settings:

Symmetrical RTP: On
RTP Encryption: On
RTP/SAVP: Mandatory


Can I expect a remote user to receive pages in good order?

Are all "registrations" for that user added to the paging group? What phone is she using? Have you explored settings on the phone that may impact this such as AutoAnswerPage, DoNotDisturb, etc.)

There are 2 'registrations' for that user in the Page group; her work phone and her home phone.

Both are Snom 870.

I compared the settings files and found that:

answer_after_policy

was set to 'off' at home and 'always' at the office.

I made the change to 'always' at home but the problem remains.

Is it possible that the firmware on the home phone is outdated?

Thanks, but that problem was was just with paging here at the office back then.

Right now the office phone is good but the home phone is not. Both the home phone and office phone are the same hardware and firmware versions.

In looking at the Snom documentation, it looks like <always> or <idle> *should* be working. After making the change on the home phone, has the phone successfully re-synced? If so, then I'm out of suggestions. Smile
