I have always used Apple Mail (10.12.2), however I noticed to day that some emails were missing.

I logged into Webmail and they are there.

Setup the email account on Outlook 2016 and they are showing.

Only Apple Mail they are missing. Its the same on 3 computers (same email account) but working fine on my iPhone.

I've tried removing and re-adding the email account and I've tried Rebuild Mailbox for Apple Mail menu.

Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas?

Thanks

Apple Mail has a bug that it does not show emails with empty "Content-Class:" email header. It could be this case. You can verify it by looking at email source.

Thanks Pawel, where would the content-class appear in the source code?

Ok, don't think its that - I've found another email that doesn't have content-class and that is showing in Apple Mail.

Despite the bug, have you tried using the Rebuild option from the Mailbox menu? It forces a full re-download of the selected mail folder.

Tried that - didn't work.

I managed to fix it by deleting the local cache in /Library/Mail - that forced Mail to resync and download the emails from the server.

Obviously an Apple issue and not Kerio! Razz

That's a good fix too. I don't tell my users to go mucking around in their ~/Library/Mail folder though. If it comes to that, I do it for them Smile Out of all of the available mail apps for Mac, I like Apple Mail the best, but it does have some annoying quirks. This is one of them.

Hi,

I configured my new MBP late 2016, and there is nearly on year of emails missing. After January 2016 until Dec. 2016. Before and later are showing.

On the the older MacMini and iMac with OS X Sierra too, the emails are showing.

Setup the email account on Outlook 2011 and they are showing.

I tried:
1) the Rebuild option from the Mailbox menu
2) deleting cache. /Users/name/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data

Or do I have to delete more? Sad

The emails are still missing.

What to do?

Have you tried deleting the caches in /Users/Library/Mail as per my post?

Hi,

I deleted
"2) deleting cache. /Users/name/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data"

I deleted the complete folder of Mail "V4", too.
