Hi All,

Is there any facility to assign ringing rules to an extension rather than a user? Most of our clients don't use users per se as they don't want voicemail etc, and the phones are generally position based, rather than person based.

We'd like to be able to implement a system whereby if reception does a blind transfer to an extension, and that extension doesn't get picked up, we want the call to bounce back to reception rather than just ringing out. So far I've been unable to work out a solution for this.

No - there are no ringing rules for extension only

If users don't want use voicemail, simple disable it in Administration - Users - Edit user (you can select also more than one user...) - tab Extensions - checkbox "Voicemail is enabled"

Transfer timeout can be configured in Administration - Advanced Options - tab Telephony - "Transfer timeout".

Blind transfer (on Linksys or Cisco HW phone) behaves as you wrote.
