Have an 8.5.3 system and cannot upgrade due to residual Outlook 2003 users. Installed a new Outlook 2013 as activesync 'cause that is the only one that would work and the user cannot see public folders. If she logs in with the Kerio client, they are there but not in Outlook. If I install it with the offline client it installs as MAPI and will not open folders.

Is there a fix for this mess?

Get those users off of Outlook 2003, or make them use webmail, and upgrade to the latest Kerio Connect. If moving these users to a newer version of Outlook is cost prohibitive, then once you upgrade to Kerio Connect 9.2.1, you will be able to install the desktop Kerio Connect Client on each system that currently has Outlook 2003.

If you use the Kerio Outlook Connector, that should give you your public folders. You have to turn on that function in the KOC after setting up the user's account.
