I have Kerio 9.2.3 setup to authenticate to Apple Open Directory. I have the domain controller and the Secondary (backup) both entered. When I click on Test Connection I get that both of them are successful. However, my primary Open Directory server locked up this morning and no one could connect to Kerio until I got the primary back up and running. Why did Kerio not use the secondary server for authentication? I know the secondary can be used for authentication because I swapped the primary ip and secondary and it works fine.

I did not have Directory Service Lookup turned on in the Debug log file, but the Warning log file gave

I had a similar problem. It turned out to be I had simply forgotten to add the replica DN to the realm of the krb5.conf file of the KC server.
