I could not get the bug reporting page to work and am reporting this issue here.

A semicolon in a phone number represents "wait" and is a valid character. Kerio Connect stores contacts as vCards on the server. To include a semicolon in a vCard field, the semicolon must be escaped using the backslash, for example "(234) 576-8901\;98" and not "(234) 576-8901;98".

Kerio Connect appears to not escape the semicolon. This works OK with some clients but not the iPhone.

To reproduce:

1. Use Kerio Connect Webmail to create a new contact.
2. Add a phone number with a semicolon, for example: 234-567-8901;45
3. Save the contact.
4. File the new contact file on the server.

Note that the line will look similar to this:

TEL;TYPE=CELL:234-567-8901;45

It should look like:

TEL;TYPE=CELL:234-567-8901\;45

Open the contact on the iPhone and note that the telephone number is split into two numbers.

Thanks,

Will Mayall
