Email Setup:
Our email is hosted by Etisalat under the domain aljurf.ae and we fetch our email through our mail server which is Kerio Connect version 9.2.4 (3252) installed on windows 7 x64.

We are able to send and receive emails, but unable to send emails to email addresses which are outside our domain. So we called Etisalat to report the issue and we were informed that we need to change our settings from using the host mailv.emirates.net.ae to exmail.emirates.net.ae, port 25 to port 465 and use SSL. These settings work fine directly on Outlook but not on our Kerio Connect server.

It would make sense that 465 would work for a mail client as it was built for client authentication vs relay.

25 and 587 support negotiating SSL whereas 465 is an SSL only port meant for email clients.

Does the provider have another relay port you could use?

Could you be doing mail delivery directly?

If the provider won't budge, you can put in a feature request via the Suggest Idea button on the dashboard, but I find it very unlikely to be implemented as this is the first I have heard of a relay provider requiring you to send on 465.
