My customer set up a system (obviously an older unit) with Win 7 and Outlook 2007 and cannot get Kerio Connector to work. They are on v8.5.2 still as the amount of messages to upgrade to 9 is a multi-day event but we are working towards that goal.

In any case only on this one system do they have a problem getting users setup and I have copied a portion of the debug log here hoping that maybe someone has an idea what is happening. After installing Kerio connector and running the script to set up the profile I would see a message about "testing for unique public folder failed" before even running Outlook. We have uninstalled every Kerio piece even in the registry, repaired Outlook and still after reinstallation all is the same. Once Outlook is started the 80004005 MAPI_E_CALL_FAIL message appears and Outlook closes.

So any thoughts? Here are portions of the debug log.

Thank you
David

Are you able to clear the KOFF Cache? Open the Windows Control Panel > E-mail. Go to the Kerio Connector (mailacoount) > Maintance and Clear Cache.

Thank you for your response.

Clearing cache is one of my first go to items but in this case it did not help. It seems to be a situation where only setting up any account on this system results in the MAPI issue and so I have asked the local IT admin to completely remove MS Office and to reinstall it from scratch hoping that nothing will be leftover (I cannot be sure of that though). I have not heard back as to whether this path was taken or if the problem persists due to lack of time to attend to the issue.

Yeah. Good idea. Sounds like corrupt Office leftovers.
