A few of our customers have problems with sending email with pdf attachments. When they send an email with a pdf attachment then the receiver gets the email with a empty pdf attachment (0kb). When they send a email with only a pdf attachment, then they have no problem.

For now the problem only occurs when sending a mail with webmail.

We are on version 9.2.5 patch 3 (3336).

Is this a known error?

Hello Soundwave,

we encounter the same problem on the same version.
Moreover it's not only on PDFs but randomly on all kinds of attachments when using the webmailer.
We couldn't track it down to browser version or attachment type.
Sometimes it happens and sometimes not. But it happens quite often.
No error message or warning could be found on that.

It's very annoying for us because we are bound to the webmailer in some situations and attachmets are necessary for us.

Wie couldn't find a solution or even a reason for this to happen.

Could you get any further with this topic?

regards

Hi

Tried to reproduce this but I cannot.

I tried on the Kerio Connect installed on Windows.

What is the OS used here? Also are the recipients on Kerio Connect or any other email system?

Hello,

the kerio connect is running on a Centos 6 system.

As well the sender as well as the recipient are users of this Kerio server.

As I wrote before, it is als here not reproducable on every try. But it happens often enough that users are wining loudly.

We have not had this issue with our web mail users (a couple dozen of them). This is one of the few places where my first inclination would be to check the anti-virus. If possible, try disabling it (at least, disable scan on file read) and see if the problem persists.
