Hello everyone,

Please help with this. I have read many older forum topics discussing how Kerio Connect is unable to have a standard signature administered from the server but that it has to be done on the client end. Unfortunately, everyone has there own signature and we want to prevent this in our company. Is this possible through Kerio connect 9.2.3 or higher? We tested the domain footer but when you reply, it puts the footer on the bottom of the email chain and not in the signature block. We are also trying to get this to work similar to the footer where it will pull the information from the user contact fields in Kerio Connect. Is this possible or are we stuck with just the footer?

Thank you,
Chris

Chris, I totally agree on that. Domain Footer is a great feature. This topic has been discussed a couple of times on the forum. Currently it's not possible to place the domain footer below the email reply. It's a pity. That is why we have disabled the Server Signatures.

There's also feature request. Please vote for „Domain Footer Placement"

Hey b-tom,

I would use all my votes to get this to be fixed. I just used what I could. Even if the domain footer is unable to be moved, is it possible to setup a standard signature inside Kerio Connect or do you know of a third party software that might integrate with Kerio to obtain standard that our company is looking for?

Thanks again,
Chris

I haven't looked into third-party software to do that. It could be possible. Frankly, I don't want to use a 3rd party software. We simply created a default Outlook signarture and copied it as a template to the new collegues machine. I know this is not a option for bigger corporations.

Back in the day, everyone did as the universe intended -- when replying, your text went to the bottom of the e-mail (bottom posting). Somewhere early on, Microsoft introduced the (awful) idea of putting the reply at the top of the message (top posting) making following a long e-mail chain more complicated.

As a Kerio programmer, the challenge for inserting a domain footer in a top posted message would be how to identify where the new text ends and the old text begins, and how to insert a footer there without mucking up the HTML formatting or CSS used to compose the message. Anyone who can make that work 100% has my respect.
