Hello,

With Postfix, it's possible to use "recipient_delimiter" to have an infinity of alias for an email address. It's Subaddress Extension (RFC5233)

Example :

fabien+blog<_at_>domain.tld
fabien+twitter<_at_>domain.tld
fabien+facebook<_at_>domain.tld
fabien+website<_at_>domain.tld

Officiel address is fabien<_at_>domain.tld but Postfix understands that anything after the "+" character should be sent to fabien's address

See : tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5233 & blog.tenak.net/2013/09/2013-09-recipient_delimiter-virtual-u sers.html

It's very convenient to see where spam comes from and to block it. Because on each website we use a "custom alias" (fabien+the_name_of_website<_at_>domain.tld) and if spam comes on a particular alias, we just block this alias.

it's possible with Kerio Connect ?

Thanks for your help

Best Regards,
Fabien

This can be done.

Just create an alias with the following entries:

Alias: fabien*
Deliver to: Email address
Email address: fabien<_at_>domain.tld

Great! Thank you.
And if after I receive spam on a dynamic alias (exemple fabien+test<_at_>domain.tld), how to block just an specific alias?

thanks

I never knew this. Great tip, freakinvibe!

However, I would recommend using 'name+*' as alias, instead of 'name*'.
This to prevent problems when creating an alias named 'fabien*', when there's also an existing mailbox fabienne@.., or 'rob*' when there's also a mailbox robert<_at_>..

@fab1330: I think you can block specific alias by creating a message filter (In Confiugration->Content Filter->Message Filters).

Yes but my clients who have administrator rights that their domain can not touch the overall configuration. Is it not possible to do otherwise?

If the user is using web mail, he can create a filter to delete mails from a certain recipient (or move those mails to a specific folder).
