Has anyone uninstalled 9.2.6 and installed 9.2.5p3 therefore downgrading back to 9.2.5p3?

There are too many bugs in 9.2.6 and my end users are quite unhappy.

Good question. What is the best way to roll back the installation of 9.2.6 if you run into problems? Do you have to uninstall it first? Or can we just install 9.2.5 p3 again?

I did the downgrade, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. I'm having a few issues this morning.

I uninstalled Kerio and then installed the old version (9.2.5p3). My mailbox looked great and everything tested good. This morning (Monday), I have 4 users that their entire mailbox is gone. I'm still investigating and trying to find a pattern on why just these 3. At this point, I've reinstalled 9.2.6 and am pulling the affected users off the backup system. I'm not sure if they changed the indexing a little in 9.2.6, but if so, why wouldn't it have affected all the users? Just no logic in why these 3 were affected.

You Can certainly Check if the users folders are still available in the mail server store directory, and if they are there you can just apply Re-indexing for those users, as far as we know this issue is not related to Upgrades or down grades

I have downgraded one other time with no issues whatsoever, so was surprised when I got to work this morning. The only pattern I could see is that the affected users were the first 3 alphabetically in the user listing. Their folders were there, but empty. It removed all emails, calendars, contacts, etc, etc. The only thing that was there was around 8-10 emails that had come in over the weekend after my downgrade. I just restored back from my backups to replace their folders and then pulled back in the ones they got over the weekend, so we are good, but back to all the bugs in 9.2.6.

@JohnD Can you elaborate what errors you are seeing? I know about the KOFF problems. Are there any others? As we don't use KOFF, I would probably upgrade if there are no other errors.

For us:

1) The downgrade for some reason started in my user list alphabetically and completely deleted all emails, all contacts, all calendars for users. I had to restore 5 mailboxes from our backup system to get all that back for those.

The other bugs we have now:

1) Chrome pop-up reminders cause a Kerio crash. This was present in the previous version and was supposed to be fixed in 9.2.6, but is not.
2) Messes up some people's time zone. It places them in the Antarctica time zone, messing up all their appointments, email times, etc. You have to manually help each user go in and change their time zone back to the correct one.
3) The tab in Chrome at the top now says, Email Preview and the name of the email you are highlighted on. Since most users have several tabs up, it cuts off the full item unless you hover over the tab.
4) Several users are no longer notified in the Chrome tab if they have new emails. Before, a little red box with a number in it would appear on the tab. Now some users have no clue when they have new emails unless they happen to be at their desk when the notification appears.
5) The worse is that while typing in the body of an email, it will "freeze" so you can no longer type. The fix is to save it as a draft, then open the draft and then open it in a new window.

As you can see non I guess are show stoppers, but I didn't buy Kerio Connect to have to give all my users a list of 20 things to do if this happens or that happens. Kerio never had a bad update that I can recall until GFI took them over and I've been a Kerio admin/user for around 16-17 years. I won't be one this time next year though......

You missed the major one that's affecting some users(including myself) right now. 9.2.6 is just randomly crashing and stopping the mail server every 15-20 minutes(sometimes only 1-2 minutes apart). This is happening on one of the servers I upgraded, but not the other. Others are experiencing the same in other threads. I'd say that's the nastiest of all of the issues right now.

It's definitely recommended to downgrade to 9.2.5 p3 for now.

Steps would be:

1. Perform full backup <- or at least copy license folder, store folder, mailserver.cfg and users.cfg
2. Uninstall Kerio Connect 9.2.6 but please make sure to keep message store and configuration file.
3. Download Kerio Connect 9.2.5 patch 3 from kerio archive
4. Install Kerio Connect 9.2.5 patch 3 please make sure to keep current configuration

In case there are users mapped from AD they should be back after connecting 9.2.5p3 to AD.

Thanks to Konji, you saved my butt, i had to uninstall since upgrade to 9.2.6 even with 9.2.6 patch 1 the server keeps stopping all the time.

When they resolve that issue?

It's the first time i have an issue with upgrade and i used Kerio since 10 years ago. Is it related to the acquisition of GFI in the last year??? Mad

my servers does not stopping now but the active sync beetween mobile and calendar still doesn't work

Konji's instructions are correct. I had to do that one other time when there was a bad update. I'm pretty sad about the whole GFI deal. Kerio used to be very responsive and I worked directly with the developers many times over the years. It kind of appears that no one who developed Kerio Connect is with the company anymore. That's a real shame. A good product that is now too scary to recommend. I checked out Zimbra and have a demo running but it's much less intuitive and so far has been very hard to configure and get running. Kerio was the best Exchange alternative for my 450 users but to preserve my job, I have to find something else. I'm still hoping GFI gets their act together but I won't hold my breath. I've dealt with them in the past and it did not turn out good.

Not working ActiveSync!

Happened after I upgraded to the latest Version 9.2.6. Even patch1 did not solve this!
Then I downgraded 9.2.5 Patch 3. No Active Sync will work correct.

So the errors still exists.
I don't know if Kerio changed anything to the files. Normally a downgrade should fix the error. Unfortunately, this does not work.
Appointments are synchronized - but not all. So only incomplete.
I removed all mobile devices from the system and set them up again: Same result. Disaster.
