Hello everybody,

I am experiencing a couple of issues since end of last week. Our Kerio Connect Server 9.2.6 Build 3811 running on Ubuntu 16.04.4LTS seems like it keeps crashing randomly. I capture the following Log snipped:
Apr 4 06:58:05 myserver systemd[1]: kerio-connect.service: Main process exited, code=killed, status=6/ABRT
Apr 4 06:58:06 myserver systemd[1]: kerio-connect.service: Unit entered failed state.
Apr 4 06:58:06 myserver systemd[1]: kerio-connect.service: Failed with result 'signal'.
Apr 4 06:58:06 myserver systemd[1]: kerio-connect.service: Service hold-off time over, scheduling restart.
Apr 4 06:58:06 myserver systemd[1]: Stopped Kerio Connect.
Apr 4 06:58:06 myserver systemd[1]: Starting Kerio Connect...
Apr 4 06:58:06 myserver systemd[1]: kerio-connect.service: PID file /var/run/kms.pid not readable (yet?) after start: No such file or directory
Apr 4 06:58:25 myserver systemd[1]: Started Kerio Connect.
Apr 4 06:58:26 myserver kernel: [156128.041138] sysctl_ibrs_enabled = 0, sysctl_ibpb_enabled = 0
Apr 4 06:58:26 myserver kernel: [156128.041141] use_ibrs = 4, use_ibpb = 4
Apr 4 06:58:26 myserver kernel: [156128.041142] read cpu 0 ibrs val 0
Apr 4 06:58:26 myserver kernel: [156128.041144] sysctl_ibrs_enabled = 0, sysctl_ibpb_enabled = 0
Apr 4 06:58:26 myserver kernel: [156128.041145] use_ibrs = 4, use_ibpb = 4
Apr 4 06:58:26 myserver kernel: [156128.041146] read cpu 0 ibrs val 0

and every time this happens users that use the webmail or kerio connect client are required to login again and this is very frustrating to my users. It was relatively frequent like every 30 minutes of so. Also the other issue I am having that all our Windows users that use Outlook with KOFF can't use Outlook any longer because KOFF is crashing. Out Windows users are mostly running on Windows 7 and a few on 10 but all are using Office 365 (Office 2016)

Any idea how to fix this?

You should use the debug-log, enable "crash management activity", EWS, Activesync, and maybe more. In our case, very old activesync messages were able to let Kerio Connect server crash! After removing the mail/item from the filesystem, this issue was resolved.

I am having the exact same issue after upgrading to 9.2.6 Build 3811. It is getting very annoying.

It calmed down for me as soon as I turned off the XMPP Service and rebooted the server. It craps our on me maybe every 24 hours or longer.

Tech support told me that they are working on a patch which should be released soon.

Did you just stop the service inside the admin control panel?

Yes firstly I turned off the Instant Messaging under Admin > Configuration > Instant Messaging and then I turned off the Services under Admin > Services

Hope that helped

I turned it off and restarted but it still keeps giving the message about service restarting and disconnects all clients. Thought maybe the service restarted but it didn't.
