Agree entirely - gave me a lot of headache.
Big disappointment, GFI took half a century to release this update so I thought there must have been a lot of testing to make sure it is a stable update after the problems last year with 9.2.5x - but NO, it's probably the worst update I ever experienced with a kerio product...

If GFI is aware of how many problems 9.2.6 is causing, then why is it still on the website to download. Why haven't they reverted back to 9.2.5 p3 until they can give us a release that is stable. If not for me reading this forum, I would have no idea how many problems this thing is causing.

What are the actual problems with 9.2.6? I have upgraded three macOS-based servers now and don't see any problems at all. They've been running for a couple of weeks now and nothing unusual to report.

Just read the forums. So many people are having different problems. The ones that GFI have officially owned up to are on their post about 9.2.6

Quote:

Known outstanding issues related to this release include: Outlook 2016 not working, time zones not being detected, macOS High Sierra Account Assistant not working.

We are working with the engineering team to address these issues and will provide updates as soon as possible. I apologize for the inconvenience this release has caused for many and we are working hard to fix the outstanding issues.

We have users on Outlook 2016, so upgrading is out of the question for us.

When we first started looking into getting an email server over ten years ago, we first started looking into Zimbra, but ended up going with Kerio because our boss really wanted Read Receipts and Zimbra didn't have them at the time. I am considering giving them another look. Six months with no updates from Kerio while we must continue to pay for software maintenance. Then when we do get an update it is full of bugs. GFI has not kept contact with its customers to let us know approximately how long until we get a stable release. I think it is time for us to look into other options.

We had to use the repair tools on the latest x86 and x64 Visual C+ packages from Microsoft in order to get rid of the annoying on/off Kerio Service issue. Event Viewer was showing problems with the MSVCR100.dll file.

Now, we have multiple lack of sync issues and profile reinstalls we will likely have to address on Monday.

As far as I'm concerned I'm done now with Kerio which is a great shame. We've been using the software since 2009 but with their recent rash of buggy releases I have zero trust in GFI's ability to put out a release that doesn't cause more issues than it fixes.

It's very clear that GFI just doesn't care about this product. I still have around 200 hosted users on three Kerio Connect servers. I will not upgrade them to this new version. We have now gone over 7 months without a release of Kerio Connect that is compatible with macOS High Sierra. The account assistant stalls when we try to use it. The release notes for this latest version say that it fixes that problem, but it doesn't. I have an open support ticket about this. I got a call from someone at GFI this past Thursday who claims that the developers are looking into this. He refused to answer when I asked if the developers actually test the software before they release it. Obviously they don't, or they just don't care that it doesn't work. Apple will announce a new version of macOS in just over a month. I will download the developer beta the moment it's available so that I can begin testing it with our many systems. It's clear that GFI did not do this. Any good developer will start testing a new OS immediately after it's released to developers. Kerio was very Mac friendly. I knew a lot of Apple consultants who ran Kerio Connect servers. Now, they're abandoning this monstrosity. We are too. I made the decision right after that phone call on Thursday to totally abandon Kerio Connect. We will move our customers over to Office 365. We're a reseller of Office 365, so we won't lose any money. I don't know why GFI bought Kerio if all they're going to do is let this technology languish. They canned the really great developers who worked at Kerio, so thetre's no one there who understands this product. There's no one there who has a passion for making it better. They're just doing the bare minimum, and maybe not even that.

*** To the GFI censors who will read this... You can delete my comment and threaten to ban me all you want, but before you do that, at least my comment was read by others. I intend to get the word out about your incompetence, so go right ahead. Ban me. You'll just make me more angry and determined when you do that. I will create another account. You can ban that one too. I will create another account... and so the cycle will continue. Do your worst, for I will do the same!
