I tried to report the following as a bug to GFI but they refuse to admit this is not normal behavior for a BPX system. I wanted to let you all know about the issue before it affects you. This bug was introduced sometime in the past 2 years or so during an upgrade as I know it previously worked as it should when this clients system was set up.
If a Users voicemail box is full Operator will not play the users greeting before saying that the box is full to the caller. In other words if you have a user out for an extended period and they have a message saying "I'll be out of the office for a few months, please call extension 202 for immediate help" over time late hangups and robo calls will fill up their mailbox, once that happens the "I'll be out for a while, please call extension 202 for immediate help" will be replaced with only "You can not leave a message because the mailbox is full".
If the mailbox is full every other BPX or voicemail system in existence would play "I'll be out for a while, please call extension 202 for immediate help" followed by "You can not leave a message because the mailbox is full". I tried to explain this to support but there argument is once the mailbox is full there is no reason to play the message as it would just be telling them to leave a message which they could not.
Hopefully they will get their heads out of the ground but in the meantime I wanted everyone to be aware.
