Kerio Connect Version 9.2.5 patch 3
Windows Essentials 2016 Server

SMTP Service was configured to all addresses:2525 and has been working fine since installation more than a year ago.

This week Monday 30th July 2018 the service started crashing, when attempting to start it,it fails with port in use. We have verified that nothing else is listening on that port on the server.

If we change it to the server's IP:2525 it starts, a day later it crashes and won't start, we change it to all addresses:2525 and it starts again.

I would like to know what could be causing it to crash and why it can't start up again.

When the service is running I haven't seen more than 5 connections to it at a time.

This is most probably a Windows security patch that caused this, I have described that here:

If you search for the latest updates on your Windows 2016 server, you should be able to download and install an update that fixes it:

2018-07 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems (KB4345418)
