Hi All,
we have Kerio Connect 8.4.1 running on a Ubuntu Server 14 VMware virtual server with 24 GB ram and 8 vcpu. The mailstore is on a fiber channel storage (8 gb hba). We have >500 users, most of them using Outlook with the KOFF connector.

Since a couple of month ago, the server is getting high average load (>130), and sometime even it get to 200. This high load begin about 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (working hours). Also, at mid day (about 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.) the load goes down to 50-60. When this load start to get those high numbers, the "System Health" window sees as the attached grafic.

This is my output from iostat command:

At the time a ran this command, the server is at 164 in load average.

With this problems, some users reports problem syncing Outlok with Kerio, the conector shows in "orange" meaning that the sync is complete, but the didn't receive any messages untill hours later.

I have tryed to generate the support file to open a case, but the file never get generated, when I try I get the "server is not respoding".

I have also ran "lsof | wc -l" and find sometimes more than 10,000,000 opened files, is that normal?

Is there any tunning a should do to in the OS? Network or file system?

Have someone else face this kind of problems?

Thanks and best regards,
Amedina

As an update, I have notice that when I block some vlans from connecting to the server (vlans with about 60 computers or more) the Load start to go down. Could this be a network related problem? or capacity of the server in general?
