I'm looking into the possibility of using Kerio for a mailing list that is 12000 users large. However, in a few tests that I've done, it looks like it take a long time for Kerio to process that many emails. Sending one email to the list seems to be taking the better part of a day for it to send to all the members. My upstream is 256k DSL. Not super fast. However, I've seen better performance from other products like Mdaemon. Is there anything I can do to get it to process faster?

Thank,

Kirk

Have you adjusted the "Maximum number of delivery threads" option in the admin console? I would think you would want to increase that number big time........

Maybe that will help,

I did and after doing the math, it looks like it should have taken a good while even for messages <15kb.

I guess the confusing thing about kerio is that you don't really see the messages in the queue all at once. I've also been testing Mdaeomon and you actually see all of the email messages being generated go into it's remote queue. I'm noticing that kerio doesn't have quite the monitoring and logging options that some other servers have. I'm still impressed with it though. I guess it will all come down to cost!
