Hi there,

due to the GDPR I'm currently looking for a way to exclude a single mailbox (-> job applications) from being archived.
I know that you can control archiving domain-wide, but that doesn't really help.
Also, I don't want to set up any Linux scripts which delete emails from the archive.

How do you achieve that? Imagine at least some of you might have similar problems within the EU and its GDPR.

Kind regards

Other than scripts to delete, I can't think of any way you could achieve this unless you used a third party app for archiving.
We use MailStore for this and you can pick and choose which mailboxes you want to archive.
We find it is a far better solution for archiving than the built in option.

I see no GDPR related problem with email archiving, with proper TOM. Can you explain this to me, please?

The included archiving function of Connect is not in any way GDPR compliant AFAIK. E. g. how would you automatically purge someone's communications or generate reports? For proper archiving, you have to use something like GFI Archiver and use the journal account functionality of Connect.
