Hey people,

I have this same problem with my Outlook 2003.

What happens is as follows: When one creates a new email or replies to an email it cannot send and returns it with an error code.

The actual error code is "0x80041004" Surely there must be some sort of solution to this as I cannot expect my client to log in via webmail everytime and delete the mail and then resend it everytime. On a client level it is just not right >;p

Is there any way around this problem?

Some of my users including myself regulary see the error:

0x8004140a:ER_IMAP_AUTHENTICATE

When sending an email from Outlook with an attachment.

We are using Kerio 6.03 on OS X and the users are authenticating through Open Directory.

I have this problem too.

I do not see this on the fix list for 6.0.4 posted by Paveldobry.

However 6.0.4 should be out tomorrow so fingers crossed.

Hi Peter

Are you running Kerio on OS X with Apple Open Directory for authentification?

I upgraded my server to OS X 10.3.6 on Tuesday and havn't seen this error since. Might just be a coincidence though, and come back.

Gentlemen,

I am running Windows 2003 Server with Office 2003 as my email client. The funny thing is, the problem does not accur now.

It happens randomly. I will download the new version and see whether this has fixed it.

Any other ideas are welcomed.

Thank You

hi jobar,

same problem here. windows 2003 server with kms 6.04 and windows 2000 clients, outlook xp (2002) and koc 6.04. randomly we get the same error code. this problem occurs also, when someone send you a mail with 'read acknowledge' (lesebestätigung). then we receive the error code everytime we send another mail.

there is noting in the logs, nothing in the outbox. the only way is to deinstall koc and install it again - so the error is gone.

this problem is known by kerio because i told it last week our german reseller.

bye
thomas

p.s. userers are added normaly and not via active directory.

Same as everyone, I keep getting the error and I'm unable to remove the mail from the Outbox in Outlook.

The only way is to access the mailbox via web interface to remove it.

Have tried reinstalling the KOC but that doesn't seems to help either. Don't know what's wrong.
