I have a very annoying problem with KOC which I haven't read about on this forum.

When using Outlook 2003 on a machine that is not able to connect to the mailserver (for example, we have a wireless network with PPTP VPN to connect to the server for security) outlook starts up and just hangs. After forcing outlook to close, there is a message at restart that the KOC is responsible for the crash and if you want to activate it in the future or not.

VERY annoying if a user gets that and turns off KOC, we have to go to the users and reset the outlook plugin each time.

Surely there must be a way for KOC to test if the server connection is there, and present a nice error and close outlook in a normal fashion if the server is not present?
