Has anyone ran into the issue of KOC 6.0.5 and Outlook 2k not sending emails after a few min without Exiting and re-entering outlook?

We have deployed KMS 6.0.6 and are loving every min with it but this is a nagging issue that Ih ave with the few "beta" folks that are using it.

Yes, we have the same problem here... even worse. For most of our testers, when messages get stuck in the outbox, we have to close Outlook, then open the task manager, and kill the OUTLOOK.EXE process and the MAPISP32.EXE process, then start up Outlook again. To say it's annoying is an understatement... not to mention you don't always notice a message is stuck right away, so the message goes out much later than you sent it.

Support has made a few suggestions to try, but nothing has worked so far. It sounds almost like they don't want to admit it's still an issue. From what I can gather, the problem has been fixed in Outlook 2003 with the 6.0.5 release, but it still remains in Outlook 2000.

This is a big issue because there are zero reasons to upgrade to Outlook 2003. I understand the support for this product is there but as far as email clients go there is nothing in the upgrade that can make it worthwhile to replace 100+ licenses.

Same problem here. We were using 6.0.3 a couple weeks ago and the problem was not as bad as 6.0.5. The hard drive crashed in 0.3 server so I rebuilt a new machine and installed 0.5 and it's been a nightmare ever since. Today we are going to remove the KOC from our clients and have them check their mail like a standard POP3 account using an outlook personal folder for delivery. The only thing we're going to miss is the global contacts.

The free busy data doesn't work for the calendar. The spam button crashes the client. A meeting request will creat an IMAP sort loop that runs the processor on the server at 100%. Items don't move from the outbox to the sent items folder in 2003 but at least they send. Other than that it's all good.
