I have been told recently that when 6.1 arrives the Outlook connector will provide offline access using something called SyncML. Anyone know what this is???

It was implied that this was just a workaround and that it would effectively just allow syncing IMAP folders using this SyncML technology/software.

Is this true & if so does this mean that only mail folders will be available offline.

I was expecting any folders to be available.

Does anyone have any more information??

From what I have been told (and understand) Kerio have realised that trying to make a connector that tricks Outlook into thinking it is connected to a Exchange server causes to many problems.

So instead the solution is to make Outlook behave as if it is using POP 3 but synch everything back to the server.

As long as contact/cal/task items are also synched as I get the impression that SyncML is for IMAP (Mail) type folders only...

Can we get any more information about the SyncML implementation in KMS 6.1

Is it standards compliant (as SyncML is a standard)?
Can we expect non-Kerio provided clients to be able to sync (such as Sync4J)?

Thanks,
