Whether it's manual or automatic, when KWF checks for updates I get the following in the debug log (despite KWF saying there are no new updates):

[10/Mar/2005 08:49:39] Library initialized: OpenSSL 0.9.7e 25 Oct 2004
[10/Mar/2005 08:49:41] Update Checker: check for an update...
[10/Mar/2005 08:49:42] Update Checker: failed.
[10/Mar/2005 08:49:42] Update Checker: next check at Fri Mar 11 08:49:42 2005

Did the check for updates to KWF really fail?

It should say:

[12/Mar/2005 17:13:00] Update Checker: check for an update...
[12/Mar/2005 17:13:03] Update Checker: check finished: New version not available.
[12/Mar/2005 17:13:03] Update Checker: next check at Sun Mar 13 17:13:03 2005

Make sure you do not have a traffic rule of HTTP URL rule that does not allow the update check.

Where does WinRoute check for updates? *.kerio.* domains?

Just asking... No strings attached. Smile

I loaded http://update.kerio.com/checknew.php and the http log lists:

192.168.0.195 - - [22/Mar/2005:14:27:09 -0600] "GET http://update.kerio.com/checknew.php HTTP/1.1" 302 0
192.168.0.195 - - [22/Mar/2005:14:27:10 -0600] "GET http://www.kerio.com/scripts/ HTTP/1.1" 403 998

My ISS OrangeWeb Filter is disabled. I reenabled ISS OrangeWeb Filter and tried again. I get the same error.

I only have 1 HTTP policy:
Description: Allow automatic updates
Action: Permit
Condition: all objects from http://*.kerio.com*
Properties: Block: viruses

When KWF 6.0.9 came out, I was 6.0.8. I manually checked for an update and KWF returned "no newer update available". I had to manually download 6.0.9 and install it myself.

Any other suggestions?

Unfortunately I get nothing in my filter log. I even set my default rule to log matching packets and cleared my filter log before opening http://update.kerio.com/checknew.php.

Enable packet logging in the traffic rule (will show up in the filter log) and enable logging at HTTP Policy / Advanced... (will show up in the http and web log).

Packet logging is already enabled. I get error relating to multicast, but nothing regarding web traffic.

Enable HTTP Log and Enable Web Log are already enabled (I think they're the default).

I manually checked for updates, but I still get a failed error.

Can I send my configuration file or logs to someone to review?
