Hi,

Situation : A PC(name=test) in an intranet (without a domain) with Tomcat as web server. From an another PC, the address http://192.168.xx.yy/main in a web browser gives the good page. The "test" PC has a dynamic IP address via Winroute DHCP server. The hostname column in the Lease tab in the DHCP server page shows the good name (test). The checkbox "DHCP lease table" is set in the DNS page of Winroute

Question : if possible, how can I access the same page with an address like http://test/main/

Thanks

Make sure all pc's in the lan use the KWF machine as DNS server. Enable the option 'DHCP lease table' (COnfiguration / DNS Forwarder).

This should do it.

Hi,

Only a part of the PC have IP dynamic. Is it important ?

>Enable the option 'DHCP lease table' (COnfiguration / DNS Forwarder).
It's already done.

To be more preceise, the PC that uses dynamic address find the good PC with the host name but not the others (e.g. the KWF machine has an ip fixe). Is it normal ?

Thanks,

Sorry but now it works also from the KWF machine! the host file had an (old) line with a false fixed IP address. This line deleted, the browser 'see' the Web server on the other machine with the hostname.

Thanks for the help

Eddy
