Wap is accessed using HTTP.

This means http service must be running & accessible (usually on TCP port 80)

Just go to: https://<mailserver address>/wap and you will be on the WAPmail.

I guess mobiles doesn't access WAP through HTTPS.

But if you want it secure inside your network, then you could use HTTPS on KMS and then use an Apache 2 in your DMZ on your firewall to proxy HTTP over to HTTPS. Then you only have to open the 443 into the DMZ from the outside.

I've testet this with success and can post the conf. files if you should be interested. It will also be a great way to secure the Webmail with a HTTPS proxy.

Hi,

I'm trying to use wap.
when I navigate to http://domain.com/wap I can see the login screen.

When I enter my username and pin, I am redirected back to a blank login form.

Looking thru the warning log I find:
[29/Apr/2005 20:12:36] HTTP: User $(username:e)<_at_>domain.com doesn't exist

Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Thanks in advance,

Pat

Hi kailow, I came across your post on securing WAP and Webmail by using a proxy setup. This is exactly what I'm looking for, would you be able to help?
