My kwf has the filter log enabled by default but it doesn't register any activity. Now it is running with the rule Source:Firewall, Destination: Interfaz(Internet), Sevice:HTTP, FTP, POP3, ETC... and works ok but it still doesn't register any activity in filterlog...
As far as the users and their urls' restrictions please be more expecific. Where I must go?
Logging: check the logging column of the traffic rule. Packet logging should be enabled to see any traffic in the filter log. Connections are logged in the connection log.
Go to Configuration / Content Filtering / HTTP Policy
Go to the tab URL Groups
Create a group 'Filtered urls'
Add the urls Lucy and co are allowed to access (www.google.com)
Create a group 'Disallowed urls'
Add the urls John and co are not allowed to access (www.yahoo.com)
Go to the tab URL Rules
To block www.yahoo.com for John:
Create an url rule that denies access to all sites in the URL group 'Disallowed urls' for the selected user John
To allow all other sites for John:
Create an url rule that allows access to all sites (URL begins with '*') for the selected user John
To allow www.google.com for Lucy:
Create an url rule that allows access to all sites in the URL group 'Filtered urls' for the selected user Lucy
To block all urls that are not allowed by on of the rules above:
Create an url rule that denies access to all sites (URL begins with '*') for any user
You could also create user groups 'Lucy and co' and 'John and co' and select those instead of the specific users.
