I just started getting the following error while running the Kerio backup routine:

[04/May/2005 00:10:09] domain/user/Inbox/metadata.pag is too big to fit into a backup file

The metadats.pag file is 1.99GB, and they have 11,865 messages in the Inbox.
The mailserver is running on Windows 2000 server. Is this an OS specific issue, or a bug with Kerio's backup routine? Has anyone else run into this problem?

Thanks,
Scott

sedell,

stop kerio - delete metadata.pag - reboot - it will take care of itself. It destroys some of the views - but these will adventually correct themselves rather quickly.

I had a few that were over 2.xGbs - which was off total off the scale - of where their email actually was! Once I deleted these monster files - everything runs fine and dandy!

Regards
Mike

Sounds good, thanks. Glad to hear it's a relatively minor issue. Now if only we had a utility to clean these things up on a regular basis, we'd be all set.
