I use VPN Tunnel to connect two servers in different locations.
both of them using dynamic ip address from ISP. Anyway, when the Tunnel to other office is connected. Why sometime it can ping and use Remote Desktop to other office? it is not stable. Sometime it can not ping for two-three days and come back to work after that without any change to traffic rule. This situation happen many time. How could I trace out the reason of the problem. Please give me any clue. The tunnel status is always connected. On the debug windows, it show the connection Q_KEEPALIVE message for both sending and receiving message for every interval of time.

Enable packetlogging for the traffic rules and check the filterlog for answers. Also make sure if you have more than one ip address on the internet network card the VPN tunnel is connected to the first ip address that is assigned to the interface. Check if you are using the latest version of the firewall and vpn client software.

Are you from Thailand (I'm guessing by your username) and using ADSL with router? If so get in touch with me and I might be able to help you out.
