The file dnscache.cfg is empty. But in kerio's help it says that "all DNS records are also saved in the DnsCache.cfg file".

Is something wrong?

My file is empty as well, and as far as I can tell, the dns cache or forwareder does not work.

Here the file is also empty. I do not know if the caching is working, but we do use the DNS forwarder, so that is working for sure (over here anyway).

(Could it be the file is only used as offline storage of the cache during shutdowns of the firewall?)

It is empty all the time. It doesn't matter if the firewall is working or not. The file has the same size.

check that KERIO DNS is not in conflict with other DNS services on the server you are running KWF on. I had the same problem until I noticed Server 2003 DNS was 'handling the requests' rather than KWF DNS... the 'error' is in very small font on the DNS Forwarding page in KWF, of in the system event log.

If I'm right I have to stop DNS client service?
I use Windows XP Pro as server.

DNS stop : Yes. On the same machine only ONE(1) DNS services may run. I preffer to use the Microsoft DNS server, but I use Server 2003.. I don't know about XP... Try starting NOT to use the Kerio DNS forewarder.

Here is a sample of my debuging log.

10.0.0.1 the first gateway
10.1.0.1 is the dns server for my network

10.0.1.22 is our server(kwf) and this server is the second gateway

Maybe some one can help me with this.
